Measurement Guide

Getting Started with Your Space Measurement

For a perfectly fitted roller shutter, your measurements must be precise. We understand this can be a bit tricky, which is why we’ve prepared a detailed guide to walk you through the process. An accurate quote is just a measure away!

What You Will Need:

  • A metal tape measure for accuracy
  • A ladder or safe means to reach higher spaces
  • A helper to ensure safety and precision

The Measurement Process

Space to the Left (A)

Measure the area from the left edge of the window frame to the nearest obstruction or corner. This space is crucial to determine the fitting of the shutter’s side channels.

Space to the Right (B)

Similarly, measure the space on the right, from the edge of the window frame to any obstruction or wall end.

Space Above Lintel (C)

Measure the space from the top of the window frame to the lowest part of any obstruction above, such as eaves or gutters.

Opening Width (D)

Take the measurement across the window width, from the inside of the left frame to the inside of the right frame. This will be the width of your shutter.

Opening Height (E)

Measure the window’s height from the sill to the underside of the lintel or the top frame edge.

Please refer to the attached PDF for visual guidance on taking these measurements.
